Just 19 minutes into the contest, Nautico ace Jean Carlos was sent off following a lengthy VAR review.

After being held back by Yuri Bigode as he tried to join an attack, Carlos threw his arm back at his opponent.

The incident was initially missed by the on-field officials, but was reviewed following a VAR recommendation.

Following a three-minute review, the referee came to her decision

Carlos was dramatically shown a red card, prompting a furious reaction.

With rage in his eyes, Carlos stormed towards the official to make his point heard.

Jogging backwards to avoid the angry footballer, the referee shoved Carlos away before he was held back by players from both teams, in addition as a linesman.

Carlos had to be restrained by his team-mates all the way into the tunnel

After he ultimately left the field, his side rallied without him.

They trailed 1-0 from the first-leg, but levelled the tie by Pedro Vitor’s penalty.

Ten-man Nautico then went on to win the final, prevailing 4-2 in a penalty shoot-out.
